Goldenlight Creative is seeking a talented part-time Hair/Makeup Artist and Studio Assistant to provide a luxury portrait experience to our clients. If you’re a makeup artist and hair stylist with a proven track record, you’re the one we’re looking for!

• Proven experience as a makeup artist and hair stylist
• Impressive portfolio of photo and/or special event makeup and hairstyling
• Confidence with color matching any skin tone and styling a variety of hair types
• Knowledge of makeup and hairdressing trends and techniques
• Understanding and proper execution of sanitation, health, and safety guidelines
• Great communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong consultation skills – ability to listen and execute clients’ needs

• Diploma or certificate from a vocational school in cosmetology, makeup, or relevant work experience (preferred)
• Makeup application experience: 1 year (preferred)
• Hair styling experience: 1 year (preferred)

This is a part-time, contract position with a rate of $2000-$2400 per month based on experience. You’ll be responsible for setting up the hair/makeup station, greeting clients, applying makeup and hairstyling, assisting during the photo session, and providing makeup/hair touch-ups. You’ll be working two weekdays every week and two Saturdays per month. 

If you love makeup and hair styling and have a passion for providing a luxury experience to clients, we’d love to have you join our team. We offer consistent weekly hours, studio kit/supplies provided for in-studio use only, building client relationships, and a fun working environment. Our studio operates Wednesday through Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional Saturday shoots and is closed on major holidays.
