Q: I’m interested in a painting . What is the first step to getting my painting made?
A: First, think about who or what you’d like painted. Most of my portfolio is portraits of women however I do have experience making portraits of men, children, and pets. I have also made oil paintings of beautiful houses for architects and realtors. Second, schedule a 15 min phone or zoom consult to talk about the project. I’ll want to know how big of a painting you’d like, what size, and the turn around time. I’ll also ask fun questions about the portrait subject to make sure I capture their personality.

Q: Do you require a portrait sitting or can you paint from photographs?
A: Each piece is unique. While I can make a portrait from a photo in *most* cases, there are times when a custom portrait sitting would be beneficial. The cost of the sitting is included in price of your painting – no extra fee.

Q: How big can I go?
A: We can go as small as 5×7 and as big as a floor-to-ceiling print.

Q: How quickly can you turn around a painting?
A: Each painting is different and turn around is based on the difficulty of the piece, the number of people in the painting, the size, and the complexity of the project. That said, most pieces take several weeks with some of our more complex pieces taking several months to complete.

Q: How should I display my artwork?
A: We loved a wrapped canvas on a luxe easel or a framed canvas hanging on the walls. We can recommend framing and installation services to you or, if you prefer, we can provide those services for you.

Q: How much does a custom oil painting cost?
A: Each beautiful handprinted piece is custom so the level of complexity varies greatly from painting to painting. You can contact us with some details on the size and subject of your painting for a precise estimate.
