She’s the gorgeous owner of Tart Bakery in Dallas. Yes the Tart Bakery in Dallas. The one with the awesome wedding cakes. And amazing birthday cakes. The one voted time and time again as best bakery in Dallas…. the Tart Bakery.

But that’s not why we love her.

Its not the awesome cakes, or the awards, or even the mouth watering macaroons (in fall flavors y’all!)

Leah Molter gets brides. She gets girls. She gets it.

“I come from the high-powered world of technology consulting,” she laughs as we sip our drinks.  “It’s nice to do something girly, right?”

And Leah is girly. Let me tell you!

She gushed when we asked about her own wedding, “It was at the Hotel St.Germain.  And it was fabulous!  Our chocolate lab was there in a pink bow tie.  And we had a choir.  It was before the bakery so we had someone else do the food and such.  But it was fabulous”.

And maybe that’s why she gets it.  Maybe that’s why Dallas brides and Frisco moms and Fort Worth restaurants come to her for their most treasured celebrations.  She knows what it is like to hold out for the best and most special.  She doesn’t serve anything less.

“I check out other bakeries in the area to make sure we are up to par. Or better.”

We came away with a new friend and a huge box of goodies including the most luscious, decadent mini-pumpkin pies (perfect!) a box of macaroons and a chocolate lava cake that will seriously change your life. No joke. Heaven on earth.

5: Favorite Drink: “Well I love my Starbucks… but I’ve had to cut down on that because we’re expecting number four!”

“You’re gonna want to microwave that,”  said Leah as she boxed up our cake with a smile as big and warm as the dessert, “because it is delicious when its warmed up a little bit”.
