Like the rest of civilization, we adore jewelry designer & style icon Kendra Scott! We were beyond thrilled to spend some time with her at the Shops of Legacy location.

By now you’ve probably figured out that Kendra is a big believer in giving back, so it was no surprise that her “Cocktails with Kendra” event was packed with some of Collin County’s biggest hearts and coolest bloggers.

Lots of our friends were there like the Junior League of Collin County, Petals Couture, and Layered Bakeshop.

 

If you’re a  Goldenlight Creative client you know that we stock the studio with tons of bright & bold Kendra Scott pieces as accompaniments to gowns and wardrobe selections. Kendra shared that she was inspired to design the statement necklaces we picked out (we bought three!) after visiting Bali.  We also eavesdropped as Kendra smoothly recommended pieces and consulted with both shoppers and fans. Her #1 recommendation: the Danielle Earrings.

Kendra’s new LUXE collection has generated some massive interest in-store and online (we love it!) but here’s another tip: If, like us, you want something truly unique & limited: Kendra’s “Atlantic” collection launches Weds. Grab it. Grab lots of it.

She loves Austin but we got Kendra’s scoop on some amazing shopping and eating while visiting Big D.

Kendra’s favorite things:

1: Shopping – The flagship Neiman Marcus “I feel like this is old-school Dallas. I love it!”

2: Jewelry – The Danielle Earring of course. Her color?  Turquoise.  “There’s very few collections that don’t have turquoise. Maybe that’s the Texas girl in me but I think it is such a bright, statement color…it looks good on everyone”

3: Place to Stay – The Mansion on Turtle Creek “It is absolutely gorgeous”

4: For Dinner: Javier’s Gourmet Mexicano “It is so good. Traditional Mexican” or Mi Cocina “for their margaritas”

5: For Happy Hour: Uchi. They’re from Austin and haven’t opened in Dallas quite yet but they’re coming. They’re scheduled to open mid-2014.
