What makes the Goldenlight Creative photoshoot experience so different and special?

Before your photoshoot we like to connect in person, on the phone, or via zoom for a complimentary style & creative consultation. This is where you’ll chat with an expert about:
– what to wear during your photoshoot
– who is invited to this fun girl’s day
– what we want the day (and the memory of the day) to feel like
– where we should shoot (whether in our chic Downtown Plano studio, on the beach, in the park, another fun destination, or even the comfort of your home)
– and all the fun details that go into making this photoshoot day a fun, stress-free, spa-like experience for you and your guests.

While every photoshoot is different and custom to each client, during your GIRLS DAY photoshoot most of our clients enjoy:
– complimentary professional makeup services for you and your guests
– matching robes while you sip & snack, listen to music, and unwind with our makeup and style team
– access to our couture closet of designer dresses, jewelry, skirts, fabrics and more

Q: How far in advance should I book?
A: We recommend you book 6 – 8 weeks in advance. That gives us time to have your consult, book our studio (or other location), work with our stylist to pull fashion items, and design your custom experience. Q: Do you have a minimum age requirement for littles?
A: This experience is designed for ages 8+. We will make an exception for exceptionally well-behaved kiddos 6 and up.

Q: What if I’m not sure if I’m ready for this type of session?
A: First, YOU are ready now. Your loved ones aren’t waiting for you to be any different than you are now to enjoy making memories with you. If you haven’t had your portraits made with your loved ones in the last year, you are already late to the game. We do not recommend waiting. You’ll never regret doing this- only not doing it sooner.

Q: I live out of state/out of the country. Do you travel?
A: Yes we can travel to you for a small additional fee (travel & accommodations for our four (4) team members). Additionally, we travel to New York City, Los Angeles, Denver Miami, and Salt Lake City frequently so there is no travel fee for appointments in those four locations if the timing aligns with our scheduled travel. If you are outside of those areas, consider booking a trip to Dallas/Fort-Worth. Not only will you enjoy all of the little luxuries in our studio, but all of our out-of-town guests receive our complimentary Collin County / Dallas County VIP travel guide when flying in for their photoshoot and discounts from our experience partners!

Q: I don’t have the right clothes for this, nor do I have time to shop. Can you help?
A: During your styling session we’ll help you iron out all the details for your photoshoot including what to wear. At your request we can even match you with a stylist and take your measurements to have clothes waiting for you on set when you arrive (that you can keep)!

Q: How much does this cost? Can you tell me how much to budget for the whole experience, a family album, and a framed photo on the wall?
A: Every photoshoot experience is custom to you and your guests. What you spend is up to you. There is no fee to do a personalized estimate. You can book that free call here: Zoom Call On average, most of our clients are spending $2,000-$4,000 to decorate their home with a portraits and enjoy a photoshoot day with us. We do have clients that spend under $2000, and clients who spend over $4000.

Q: Can we include cousins, grandparents, aunts and uncles?
A: Yes, big family reunion-type of photoshoots are usually a full day production for us and booked in your home or an alternate location (not our Downtown Plano studio) to allow lots of space, activities, and fun for the whole family. If your group has 9+ people we require this option. However, most small families with 8 or fewer people being photographed are welcome to join us in our studio.
